Call the plumber

24 Feb

Last night, my toilet broke.

It stopped flushing.

I was propelled into a panic when I discovered you can’t just lift the lid on the cistern when you have a top button flush (check me out with all my plumbing terms).

After some Google and YouTube research, I took the flush apart and got the lid off. I looked into the cistern and realised I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

So I sent Irish Two a text, complete with photo.

He’s a man.

He should know what to do.

He replied, “Just call a plumber.”

Call a plumber?

Call a plumber!

I’d already invested a good forty minutes taking the bloody thing apart. There was no way I was paying someone to take a look at it.

So I called my Dad. And, sure enough, with a few instructions over the phone, we soon had it fixed.

Call a plumber.

Really.

This man is going to be no husband of mine.

So alike. I thought the same about my Irish under similar circumstances. Yesterday we had an amicable split. No Irish, no love of my life. Just me and my kitties.

I am sorry but this made me laugh so hard. That “this man is going to be no husband of mine.”!!! But I do agree with you! Lucky you could fix it with the help of your dad πŸ™‚ My dad always reminds me that my future husband must be good at plumbing, using the drill, installing things and fixing everything. He promised me that he will test them himself.

LOL Oh Lord, I would react in the same way! My Dad is like superman who can do everything and I definitely expect my future husband to be the same way!
    Call a plumber!??! Yeah OK!

This has made my entire day. Hahahahaha. You can sit and wonder how much of a great partner someone will make, but you never truly know until panic arises and they tell you to pay someone else to take care of it. Bless his unknowing, lazy heart.

Had a hearty laugh reading it.. But seriously, don’t judge him by that.. Maybe he did not want to see u in so much trouble and that’s why suggested an easy way out..
Or may be underestimated ur talents πŸ˜› And you can always teach him these things πŸ˜› That’s what marriage is all about, growing up together.. πŸ˜‰

You know the old saying, “Marry a plumber and be happy for the rest of your life”.
