“Hey. Just slept on this…I’m probably being naïve about inter-web dating but I guess I wanted a little more chemistry. It kinda felt like we were good mates rather than on a date. Sorry for being crap. I did really enjoy meeting you. X”

Well at least he’s honest. The thing is, I have two schools of thought on the whole chemistry thing because sometimes it can take more than one date for that kind of thing to surface, but yeah on the other hand, sometimes chemistry is so explosive that it rears its head almost instantly. Shrug. A first date can be pretty nervewracking and a lot of shyness comes into play or awkwardness… a lot of things held in check.

I agree. But I also think sometimes you just don’t fancy someone and you know you never will. And while I thought the chemistry could develop, he was perhaps thinking that he just plain didn’t want to jump my bones and never would. And that’s cool. He was probably a bit posh for me anyway (weird, for an Irishman).
I agree, at least he was honest! He’s a newbie to the online dating scene. I wasn’t sure about The Drummer until like date #3 and wasn’t sure about the relationship until a month of dating! I think it’s because I shut myself off from liking someone. I didn’t know what it was like to want to date someone other than my ex.
On to the next one April!
