The National – Slow Show

22 Sep

Another old favourite that has taken on new meaning for me.

Listen for one of the most romantic lines ever, “You know I dreamed about you, for 29 years, before I saw you.”

My ex used to say he’d spent his whole life looking for me. And yet, somehow, I’m the one with everything I love “lost in drawers”.

I feel like one day I’ll just no longer ever trust when I hear a lot of this romantic nonsense! Sorry to sound so pessimistic but, this really just further goes to show that people change – they always do and pretty much any kind of turn-around is possible, no matter how IMpossible it might have seemed before!
Really, truly frightening to me – I’m so sensitive to it, constantly asking and wondering why or how this can be… :S

Anyway sorry I’ll keep my negative crap off of your blog, promise! Just upset me to hear about how your ex used to say that and… well now things obviously aren’t that way 😦

Another wonderful break-up song by the National: “Humiliation” and by Grand National (the name made me think of it) “Drink to Moving On.”
